Sierra Leone Sussex Association was officially formed in October 2015 by a small group of Sierra Leoneans living in Sussex. We are a community group aimed at improving the quality of life of our members and the wider community through social and cultural activities in order to reduce isolation within the Sierra Leonean community.
It is very clear that our community needs continued support from each other to overcome issues that might result in mental health conditions, hence the need to establish the association to respond and deal with various individual needs. Our association is open to everyone who supports the aims and objectives of the association as specified in the constitution.
The affairs of the association are run and manage by a committee of eight members known as the officers committee. Every member is equally valued therefore, we encourage all to participate, involve and contribute to decision making.
This website provides an overview of the group mission statement, aims and objectives, constitution, role and responsibilities of the officers committee, past and future activities and contact details should you wish to get in touch with us.
